"On June 4th 2010, from 6-9pm, Helac & Wirth Art Advisory will be presenting the artwork from the Yale Photography MFA Thesis Show at the artist-run, gallery space 25CPW. Helac & Wirth Art Advisory™ is an art advisory and curatorial team that initiated in September 2009 out of the desire to help emerging artists while revitalizing the New York community during this current economic recession. With their combined resources, list of contacts, and Sotheby's background, Helac & Wirth coordinates a series of art shows throughout the different vacant spaces of Manhattan. Information on the curators, Soraja Helac and Sabrina Wirth, can be found on their website: www.helacwirth.com.

For this unique show, Helac & Wirth is joining with 25CPW, an organization with similar ideals that provides the opportunity for artists, curators, writers, and educators to engage with each other while simultaneously reaching out to neighborhood residents and the general public. Information on 25CPW can be found at their website: www.25cpw.org.

The world-renowned Yale MFA Photography program is directed by Tod Papageorge, and is taught by artists Gregory Crewdson and Richard Benson. This year, the nine students graduating with the photography MFA are: David Bush, Lucas Foglia, Kate Greene, Tatiana Grigorenko, Curran Hatleberg, Tiffani Hooper, Rory Mulligan, Hrvoje Slovenc, and Monika Sziladi. The class itself is an eclectic mixture of personalities and backgrounds, which gives the thesis show an interesting character in terms of the subject matter of each of their photographs. Nevertheless, despite the distinctiveness of each artist, the show itself is quite cohesive and very strong."
